Local media in Kiryat Gat reported that the outage brought commercial centers, factories, train stations, and banks to a complete standstill.
The blackout persisted for several hours in multiple districts, leaving large parts of the city without electricity.
Experts noted that despite Kiryat Gat’s status as host to several major weapons-manufacturing plants of the Israeli regime, the city has faced a wave of technical failures in recent months.
These incidents include fires in factories and warehouses, as well as repeated malfunctions in regional power distribution terminals.
Analysts said the problems stem from sudden voltage surges and persistent faults in the regime’s energy infrastructure — issues that technicians have so far been unable to trace or fix despite round-the-clock efforts.
