Iran Condemns Argentina’s Accusations against IRGC

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly denounced Argentina’s unjustified decision to level unfounded accusations against the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), warning that the move undermines bilateral relations and violates international norms.

Politics

In a statement released on Monday night, the Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Argentina’s unjustified decision to make wrongful accusations against a part of the IRGC, describing it as an action directed against Iran’s security and national interests.

It said the Argentine government’s decision, which runs counter to international norms and international law and has been taken under the influence of inducements and pressures from the genocidal and occupying Zionist regime, will not only seriously damage bilateral relations between Argentina and Iran but will also set a dangerous precedent in interstate relations. The statement stressed that responsibility for the legal and political consequences of this move will rest with the Argentine government.

The Foreign Ministry noted that the persistent insistence of certain circles affiliated with the Zionist regime in Argentina on accusing Iran in connection with the suspicious bombing of the Argentine Jewish center (AMIA) in 1994—alongside the exposure of clear examples of corruption and undue influence in the judicial case and even the assassination of judges involved over the past three decades, which has resulted in inconclusive proceedings and raised countless questions about the real perpetrators and masterminds of the incident—demonstrates the existence of a political-security will in Argentina aimed at diverting and covering up the facts of the case and preventing the truth from coming to light, even at the cost of calling into question the independence and competence of Argentina’s judiciary.

The statement underlined that the proud Islamic Revolution Guards Corps is a sovereign institution that has emerged from the heart of the Iranian nation, deriving its legitimacy from the Constitution and the will of the Iranian people, and that it will, alongside other armed forces, continue to carry out its duty of safeguarding the country’s independence, territorial integrity, and national security with authority and dignity.

It concluded by stressing that the disgraceful campaign by the United States and the genocidal Zionist regime to force countries into labeling Iran’s armed forces will have no impact on the resolve of Iran’s guardians to protect the nation and safeguard the country’s national security.
