In remarks made during a nighttime visit to inspect the combat readiness of one of the Armed Forces’ units, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi referred to the 12-day war imposed by the US and the Israeli regime in June 2025, adding that the blood vengeance of “the 13th day” remains unsettled and that even the smallest mistake by the enemy would give Iran free rein to take action.
The world will witness a different face of a strong Iran, he warned, stressing that in such circumstances no American would feel secure and that the flames of a regional conflict would engulf the US and its allies.
The commander added that those speaking of imposing a naval blockade against Iran would be better advised to revisit basic lessons in geography and geopolitics.
The Armed Forces chief said Iran is a powerful and vast country that cannot be besieged, noting that following the 12-day war, Iran reviewed its defensive doctrine and shifted to an offensive doctrine.
He explained that the new doctrine is based on a rapid and sustained operational approach, employing divergent and crushing military strategies.
Mousavi further said Iran’s actions would be swift and decisive and would not conform to US calculations, emphasizing that the country would not show the slightest negligence in the face of its enemies.
On Sunday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned that any new war initiated by the United States would turn into a regional conflict.
“Americans should know that if they start a war this time, it would be a regional war,” the Leader stated.
