Iran, Jordan See Diplomacy as Sole Path to Regional Stability

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s foreign minister reiterated Tehran’s commitment to diplomacy to secure the rights of the Iranian nation and to safeguard peace and stability in the region, while his Jordanian counterpart described dialogue as the only option for resolving regional issues.

The remarks were made on Monday during a telephone conversation between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, in which the two sides exchanged views on regional developments.

Araqchi outlined Iran’s positions on making use of diplomacy to ensure the rights and interests of the Iranian people, as well as to preserve peace and stability in the region. He also explained the latest status of efforts being made in this regard.

For his part, Safadi expressed concern over the negative consequences of any tension on the stability and security of the entire region.

He also stressed that Jordan, alongside other regional countries, considers diplomacy the only option for resolving issues and supports any diplomatic process aimed at achieving this goal.
