EU to Pay Price for Hostile Move Against IRGC, Intelligence Minister Warns

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib warned that European countries will have to answer for and bear the consequences of their hostile action in designating the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

Politics

Commenting on the European Union’s hostile move against the IRGC, Khatib said on Wednesday that the longstanding and spiteful enemies of the Islamic Revolution—who themselves serve as a haven for terrorists—have placed the IRGC on their list of terrorist groups, despite the fact that it is the world’s largest force combating terrorism.

He stressed that the countries taking such actions against Iran’s system must be held accountable and will have to pay the costs of their decision.

Referring to Iran’s strength and resilience, the intelligence minister said the authority, dignity, steadfastness, and courage of Iran are owed to the constant presence of the people on the scene and will continue.

He also warned that the Western countries, through such hostile measures, only continue to increase their own vulnerability.
