The Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that a member of Zionist elite unit of Golani Brigade was killed during fighting in southern Lebanon.
Channel 12 reported that at around 2 a.m., Hezbollah fighters ambushed Israeli troops, opening fire as they approached, resulting in one fatality and two injuries among the soldiers.
The broadcaster described conditions in southern Lebanon as “very, very difficult” for Israeli forces.
Meanwhile, Channel 15 reported that Hezbollah fighters engaged Israeli Golani troops in close-range, face-to-face combat.
The Golani Brigade, considered one of the Israeli army’s most elite units, has previously sustained heavy losses in Gaza and is now facing sustained attacks from Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah said it targeted the Israeli military’s northern command headquarters at the “Dado” base with missiles.
In a statement, Hezbollah said: “In defense of Lebanon and its people, the Islamic resistance fighters at 06:00 on Thursday, 26-03-2026, targeted the northern command headquarters of the Israeli enemy army (Dado base) north of Safed with missiles.”
Separately, Hezbollah announced it had launched explosive drones at the Israeli settlement of Metula, describing the attack as part of its ongoing operations.
Meanwhile, the resistance group reported close-quarters clashes with Israeli forces in the town of Deir Seryan, near a mosque and a school.
Hezbollah said in its statement that the fighting involved light and medium weapons as well as mortar rockets, adding that its fighters inflicted casualties on Israeli forces.
Hezbollah also said it targeted a gathering of Israeli troops in the border settlement of al-Qouzah with missiles.
Additionally, the group announced a missile strike on the Israeli military site of Misgav Am.
