Ebrahim Rezaei stated on Tuesday that his commission held a meeting to discuss a strategic action plan for ensuring the security of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, during which some sections of the proposal were also discussed and approved.

He added that this proposal has been developed to assert the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and establish new arrangements and a regime for the Strait of Hormuz.

After the review is completed in the committee meeting, it will be sent to the Parliament for further consideration, he explained.

The spokesperson added that the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to manage and intelligently control the Strait of Hormuz, indicating that legislation is underway to establish a framework for determining the new regime of the Strait.

Iran is committed to maintaining and continuing its management in the Strait of Hormuz, the MP stated.
