Iran Congratulates New Nepalese PM, Reelection of Congolese President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Balendra Shah on his appointment as Nepal’s new Prime Minister and Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso on winning a fifth term, expressing Tehran’s readiness for multifaceted relations with both countries.

Pezeshkian on Monday sent a message congratulating Balendra Shah on his appointment as the new Prime Minister of Nepal and emphasized Iran’s readiness to expand comprehensive cooperation with the Asian country.

The president stated that Iran values its friendly and good relations with Nepal over the past six decades, which have always been based on mutual respect and shared interests.

Pezeshkian also expressed Iran’s preparedness to broaden all-encompassing cooperation with Nepal in economic, trade, energy, tourism, agricultural, and educational fields.

The Iranian president also sent another message congratulating Denis Sassou Nguesso on his reelection as President of Congo and expressed hope that during his new presidential term, the friendly relations between the two countries will expand even further in political, economic, and cultural spheres.

Republic of Congo President Denis Sassou Nguesso has been re-elected for a fifth consecutive term, extending his 42 years in power.
