The Intelligence Office of Khuzestan Province in southwest of Iran announced the arrest of the ringleader of a terrorist group affiliated with the Israeli regime that was involved in a plot to split off the province.
According to a statement, this emerging group has been responsible for several assassination and bombing operations in cities of Khuzestan Province, including operations that led to the martyrdom of one member of the Khuzestan Intelligence Department and the martyrdom of a Basij serviceman, injuring several other Basij members.
The terrorists were identified and arrested in Isfahan Province through collaboration between Police and intelligence forces.
Reports indicate that in the past two months, 11 other members of the terrorist group have been arrested, and five armed members have been also killed in exchange of fire with the Iranian security forces.
