Iran Condemns Israeli Breach of Ceasefire, Ongoing Attacks on Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s continued military attacks on Lebanon and repeated violations of the ceasefire, urging the international community to take serious action to hold it accountable.

In a statement released on Thursday night, Baqaei denounced the Israeli regime’s attacks on Lebanon, including terrorist operations, the destruction of civilian homes, and damage to infrastructure in occupied areas.

Referring to the continued blatant violations of the ceasefire understanding, the Iranian spokesman highlighted the direct responsibility of the United States in the current situation and called for serious action by the international community and the United Nations to hold the Israeli regime accountable for its crimes in Lebanon and occupied Palestine.

He also condemned the Zionist regime’s assassination of Amal Khalil, a journalist with Al Akhbar, describing the act as another example of efforts to silence those who convey the truth.

Baqaei extended condolences over her martyrdom to her family, the media community, and the resilient people of Lebanon, and wished a speedy recovery for Zeinab Faraj, a photographer with Al Akhbar who was injured in the same attack.
