In a post on his X account on Saturday night, Araqchi expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s “good offices and brotherly efforts” aimed at restoring peace in the region. He also said he had outlined Iran’s position on a workable framework to permanently end the war against the country.
“Very fruitful visit to Pakistan, whose good offices and brotherly efforts to bring back peace to our region we very much value,” Araqchi said.
“Shared Iran's position concerning workable framework to permanently end the war on Iran. Have yet to see if the US is truly serious about diplomacy,” the Iranian foreign minister added.
Following high-profile meetings in Islamabad, Araqchi has traveled to Oman as part of a three-leg tour of the region that will later take him to Russia.
