In remarks on Tuesday, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei referred to Iranians living abroad who had previously taken actions against their country but have now become aware of their mistakes, saying the enemy’s war of aggression against Iran may have stirred their sense of patriotism and prompted them to take a stance against hostile forces.
The top judge stated that the homeland’s embrace is open to such repentant individuals and that their return is welcomed, although he emphasized that no “red carpet” would be laid out for those who had harmed the country.
Ejei added that those who still hold affection for their homeland and feel distressed by the enemy’s aggression can return home.
The cleric went on to note that anyone who cooperates with the aggressive and hostile US and Israeli regimes is, in fact, an accomplice in their crimes.
The judiciary chief also pointed to the enemy’s numerous crimes during the war of aggression against Iran, including targeting national infrastructure built for the welfare and advancement of the people.
He stated that individuals who hold Iranian identity but align themselves with the enemies must pay the price for supporting aggressors, adding that their assets should be seized and confiscated for the benefit of the nation. The Judiciary chief emphasized a firm policy of redistributing confiscated wealth in line with public interests and for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure.
Ejei stressed that the judiciary would not deviate from justice, asserting that the seizure and confiscation of assets belonging to traitors and domestic collaborators of aggressors is an embodiment of justice.
He added that beyond legal and jurisprudential foundations, such measures are an undeniable national necessity, and those who have acted against the security of the Iranian people and the stability of the country should not expect immunity for their assets and property.
