In a statement issued on Sunday night, the Public Relations Office of the Iranian Army said an enemy intruding reconnaissance drone was detected and destroyed a few hours earlier by the country’s integrated air defense network operating under the command of the Joint Air Defense Headquarters in the southwestern region.
Last month, the commander of Iran’s Joint Air Defense Headquarters said that Iranian forces had shot down as many as 170 advanced enemy drones during the 40-day US-Israeli war of aggression, including sophisticated UAVs.
