In a message marking Eid al-Adha on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian congratulated the Iranian nation and the entire Islamic Ummah on the auspicious occasion, describing the holiday as a magnificent manifestation of devotion, sacrifice, and submission before God.
He said Eid al-Adha symbolizes humanity’s conscious passage beyond worldly attachments and the endurance of great trials in pursuit of salvation.
The Iranian president stated that the vital lesson of Eid al-Adha has gained even greater and more tangible meaning for the Iranian nation at a time when the country is standing firm against sanctions, pressures, and unjust hardships.
Pezeshkian said the spirit of Eid al-Adha can today be seen in the steadfastness of the families of martyrs, the perseverance of brave fighters, and the unparalleled patience and solidarity of the Iranian people.
Referring to current global developments, the president said that in today’s turbulent world, where oppression, occupation, and the greed of arrogant powers have fueled instability, Eid al-Adha carries a clear message of dignity, freedom, and fearlessness in the face of modern-day pharaohs.
He noted that the Islamic Ummah understands that divine victory depends on unity, adherence to God’s guidance, and comprehensive resistance against the front of disbelief and injustice.
Pezeshkian stressed that while the Islamic Republic of Iran extends “the hand of brotherhood and dignified interaction” toward Muslim nations, it will not hesitate “even for a moment” in defending every inch of Iranian soil and protecting its national authority.
He also prayed that God grants the Iranian nation increasing victory, tranquility, and prosperity under the shadow of faith and perseverance.
