During a telephone conversation on the occasion of Eid al-Adha on Tuesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon exchanged Eid greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening relations between Tehran and Dushanbe.

They also denounced recent military actions by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic as a clear breach of international law.

President Pezeshkian described Eid al-Adha as a powerful expression of unity and solidarity within the Islamic world, expressing hope that its spiritual message would contribute to strengthening peace, harmony, and cohesion among Muslim nations.

He also expressed appreciation for Tajikistan’s messages of sympathy following the recent martyrdom of senior Iranian officials, including late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, saying such positions reflect the deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties between the two countries.

The Iranian president emphasized Tehran’s readiness to accelerate cooperation with Dushanbe across a wide range of fields, particularly in energy, transport, economic infrastructure, and cultural exchange.

For his part, President Rahmon reiterated Tajikistan’s support for Iran and firmly condemned the recent US-Israeli attacks, describing them as blatant violations of international law.

He also voiced concern over damage inflicted on Iran’s cultural and historical heritage and referred to ongoing diplomatic negotiations involving Iran as a positive and encouraging development.
