In a message addressed to the speakers of parliaments in Islamic countries on the occasion of Eid al-Adha on Wednesday, Qalibaf extended his congratulations on the feast of sacrifice, devotion, and servitude to God.
He said the Islamic world and the Iranian nation are marking the occasion while enduring the criminal aggression of the US and the Zionist regime.
He noted that many Iranian citizens, including schoolchildren, as well as late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, were martyred during the US-Israeli war of aggression.
The Parliament speaker described the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution as a proponent of unity in the Islamic world and a defender of the oppressed Palestinian people, saying he consistently encouraged the Iranian nation to pursue friendship with neighboring countries, solidarity with Muslims and freedom-seeking nations, and resistance against oppression and arrogance.
The Iranian people, during 40 days of direct military confrontation with the aggressors, imposed a heavy defeat on their enemies, Qalibaf said, adding that the world witnessed the outcome of the conflict.
He stated that Iran’s “strategic victory” in the war conveyed an important message to Muslims worldwide: that unity and solidarity in confronting the enemies of Islam, especially the Zionist regime and its supporters, can lead to victory.
The Iranian Parliament speaker further stressed that strengthening cooperation among Islamic countries without outside interference would significantly contribute to addressing regional challenges and crises.
Qalibaf also expressed confidence that through the determination, unity, and cohesion of Islamic nations, the Muslim Ummah would witness greater progress, peace, and security across the Islamic world.
