Rumors of Iranian President’s Resignation Denied

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian administration officials strongly rejected rumors about President Masoud Pezeshkian’s resignation, describing the claims as fabricated reports spread by the anti-Iran media outlet ‘Iran International’ and aimed at undermining national unity.

An informed administrative source told Tasnim on Sunday that allegations about President Pezeshkian’s resignation, circulated by ‘Iran International’ channel, were completely false. The source said the outlet has long been known for publishing fabricated stories about Iran, adding that its reports lack credibility.

The source emphasized that President Pezeshkian has not submitted any resignation and was carrying out his duties as usual. According to the official, the president’s upcoming engagements and programs will proceed as scheduled.

The source further said such rumors are generally spread with two main objectives: gathering security-related information for foreign intelligence agencies and creating division within Iranian society in an attempt to weaken national cohesion.

The official also dismissed the hostile network’s purported “informed sources,” saying they are often products of the imagination of the outlet’s operators rather than real individuals.

The denial came as President Pezeshkian, speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, stressed his determination to continue serving the country.

“As long as I am alive, I will continue,” the president said, adding that his administration would either manage the situation with strength or attain martyrdom.

The president also underlined the need to remain actively engaged and effectively manage developments.
