In a congratulatory message to his Azeri counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on the occasion of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, Araqchi underscored the strong and friendly relations between the two neighboring countries.
He said Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have always enjoyed relations based on mutual respect, rooted in the deep historical, religious and cultural bonds shared by the two Muslim nations, APA reported.
The Iranian foreign minister also expressed satisfaction with the efforts made by the officials of both countries to fulfill the aspirations of their peoples, saying such endeavors have helped bilateral relations steadily advance along the path of development and progress.
He also noted that the positive momentum in ties between Tehran and Baku continues to strengthen, encompassing a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest.
Araqchi further wished the government and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan continued well-being, happiness and prosperity.
