During a meeting with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, held in Mashhad, Ayatollah Marvi described unity in the Muslim world as the only way to free Muslim nations from the domination of their enemies.
Referring to the teachings and culture of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), the cleric said that if Islamic countries and the broader Muslim community had been more familiar with and committed to those teachings, the current condition of Muslims would have been very different.
The chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi also identified the lack of unity and cohesion as the root cause of the Muslim world’s problems and argued that if Islamic countries become united, defeating their enemies could be achieved at minimal cost.
He added that the unity and cohesion demonstrated in Iran had contributed to frustrating American and Zionist plans and said that if such solidarity expanded across the Islamic world, the enemy would face defeat.
At the end of the meeting, Ayatollah Marvi praised the responsible support shown by the people and government of Pakistan during the recent US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran and expressed hope that arrangements would be made to enable more Pakistani pilgrims to visit Mashhad, Qom, and other destinations in Iran.
For his part, Naqvi expressed satisfaction with his visit to Iran and his meeting with the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi and thanked the holy shrine administration for its hospitality and services to Pakistani pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
