Speaking at a meeting on Friday to coordinate and review a cooperation model between Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Energy for implementing energy consumption management plans, Pezeshkian elaborated on the dimensions of the economic war against Iran.
The president said the complexities of economic warfare are far greater than those of military confrontation, noting that hostile actors seek to disrupt the process of securing the resources needed to strengthen water, electricity, gas, and people’s livelihoods.
The president warned that such efforts are intended to generate public discontent and call into question the country’s managerial capabilities.
Pezeshkian emphasized that managing consumption and increasing efficiency have therefore become fundamental components of economic security and national resilience.
Referring to Iran’s vast geopolitical, economic, and energy capacities, the president underlined that the country possesses exceptional resources and a unique strategic position.
He added that no power is capable of containing Iran’s real capacities unless the country itself limits its domestic capabilities and creates the conditions for such restrictions.
The president further stressed that overcoming limitations requires a change in perspective, greater confidence in domestic capabilities, and the mobilization of all national capacities.
