Iran Condemns Israeli Attacks on Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s aggressive and terrorist operations against various areas in Lebanon and warned of serious and immediate consequences stemming from the continued warmongering of the Zionist regime.

In a statement on Friday, Baqaei denounced the Israeli regime’s attacks on different parts of Lebanon, saying the assaults have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Lebanese citizens and caused destruction to people’s homes and the country’s infrastructure.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman warned of the “serious and immediate consequences” of the continued escalation by the “occupying and genocidal Zionist regime” for regional peace and security.

Baqaei held the US directly responsible for the situation and referred to Clause 1 of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding on ending the war, dated June 18, 2026, which explicitly considers the cessation of war in Lebanon an inseparable part of the agreement to end hostilities across all fronts.

He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will adopt “all necessary measures” to safeguard its interests, security, and the rights of itself and its allies.
