Deputy FM: No Plan for Access to Iran’s Attacked Nuclear Facilities

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi made it clear that there is currently no plan to grant access to nuclear facilities targeted in recent US-Israeli attacks or to related nuclear materials, rejecting reports about an agreement for inspections.

In a post on his X account, Gharibabadi said no meeting was held with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi in Switzerland despite a request from the agency chief.

He also dismissed reports suggesting understandings had been reached regarding access to Iran’s nuclear sites.

“There is no plan for access to the facilities that were attacked or to nuclear materials,” the Iranian deputy foreign minister stated.

According to Gharibabadi, such issues would only be examined and decided within the framework of a final agreement and following practical steps by the other side, including the complete termination of sanctions and related commitments.

He further criticized attempts to shape political outcomes through media narratives, adding, “You cannot advance a policy of ‘create momentum and establish facts’ through media noise.”

Earlier, some media outlets, citing US officials and statements attributed to IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, had reported that an agreement had been reached to allow visits to Iranian nuclear facilities.
