Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi announced on his X account that during his visit to Muscat, the first meeting of the Joint Hormuz Committee was held with Abdulaziz al-Hinai, Oman’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
He said the meeting reviewed ongoing issues related to the Strait of Hormuz and discussed its future management within the framework of article 5 of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, as well as the sovereign rights of the littoral states.
