Speaking in a televised interview Saturday night, Hamid Reza Moqaddamfar, the media adviser to the IRGC commander, said the unique, spontaneous and enthusiastic presence of the people in the funeral ceremony of the martyred Leader indicates a deep awakening whose transnational reflection in the world’s media is followed as an amazing and unprecedented event.
Referring to the massive turnout in the funeral and farewell ceremonies in Tehran, he said this passionate and surprising presence, which is not comparable to any of the great events and funerals in the history of the revolution, is beyond any human management and will, and is a pure manifestation of the will and hand of divine power.
Moqaddamfar described the funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader as a lasting epic and a lesson for friends and enemies around the world.
The presence of millions of people in the ceremonies is itself considered a clear message to the public opinion of the world, and the first step of harsh revenge, he stated.
“This historical event, the memory of which will remain in the minds of children and future generations for decades, is a turning point, the beginning of a new era of change, evolution, and the official beginning of the arena of resistance and revenge.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Moqaddamfar highlighted the public demand for avenging the blood of the martyred Leader, and said the swift punishment of criminals such as US President Donald Trump and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is certain and necessary to heal the grieving hearts but the greater and historic revenge of this tragedy is the dismantling of the ranks of all the oppressors and arrogant people who were involved in this crime.
The issue of punishing the perpetrators of this crime is an obligatory, historical and independent duty that has nothing to do with concepts such as understanding or negotiation, and in this path, the people, the government and the military commanders all have a definite duty, he emphasized.
He went on to say that the root of the fundamental confrontation of the Islamic Republic with the US and the Zionist regime, beyond occasional wars, is a deep existential conflict that makes peace and friendship with them fundamentally impossible.
