IRGC Hits MQ-9 Drone Hangars, Command Center at US Base in Jordan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said it has destroyed the command-and-control center and MQ-9 drone hangars at the US Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan with ballistic missiles, warning that any further US aggression will draw harsher retaliation.

In a statement on Sunday, the IRGC said the “criminal US regime,” by imposing its will on the Sultanate of Oman, attempted on Saturday night to “once again test what has already been tested” by provoking tensions through the illegal movement of several vessels south of the Strait of Hormuz. It said the IRGC Navy thwarted the attempt with a decisive response.

According to the statement, the “child-killing US military” then launched airstrikes against several coastal bases and telecommunications towers along Iran’s southern coastline in an attempt to compensate for that failure.

The IRGC said its Aerospace Force immediately carried out a crushing retaliatory operation by targeting US military bases.

It said that, in the first phase of the response, key military infrastructure at Jordan’s Prince Hassan Air Base was struck, with several ballistic missiles destroying the base’s command-and-control center and the hangars housing MQ-9 drones.

The IRGC warned that continued US aggression will be met with more severe responses.

The latest strike came as the Iranian Armed Forces launched coordinated retaliatory operations against US military facilities across the region following renewed American attacks on southern Iran. In successive phases of the operation, the IRGC said it also struck a second US vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, bringing it to a halt, and targeted the strategic US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, destroying its fighter aircraft maintenance and repair center as well as its command-and-control center.

The IRGC later announced a heavy missile strike on logistical support facilities for US naval vessels and aircraft carriers at the Port of Duqm in Oman, while declaring that the determination demonstrated by the Iranian nation during the recent unprecedented funeral procession attended by tens of millions had now been reflected on the battlefield.

Separately, the Iranian Army said it launched waves of suicide drones against US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, targeting a Patriot air defense system, an ammunition depot and a radar site in Kuwait, as well as a US military communications system and radar installation in Bahrain. The Army warned that responsibility for the consequences of continued US attacks and the resulting insecurity in the region would rest with the “American-Zionist enemy” and stressed that any further aggression would trigger even more severe responses.
