Iranian Army Targets US Military Sites in Bahrain, Kuwait

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Army has launched retaliatory drone strikes against US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to continued American attacks on Iran’s civilian infrastructure and the martyrdom of Iranian servicemen.

The Iranian Army announced on Friday that the latest phases of ‘Operation Thunderbolt’ has been completed successfully, targeting US military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait with Arash suicide drones.

According to the Army, the 11th wave of the operation targeted the locations where US military helicopters and P-8 reconnaissance aircraft were stationed at Sakhir Air Base in Bahrain.

The Army said the strike was carried out in response to the enemy's hostile attacks on Iran's urban infrastructure and innocent civilians.

Reaffirming that Iran's security and independence are its "red lines", the Army warned that it would respond swiftly and decisively to any further hostile acts.

It added that any miscalculation by the enemy regarding the resolve of the Iranian nation or the combat capabilities of the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) would impose a heavy cost on the "arrogant enemy."

The Army also announced the successful completion of the 12th wave of Operation Thunderbolt, saying it involved a drone strike on US military bases and facilities in Kuwait.

According to the statement, Arash suicide drones targeted the deployment sites of US forces as well as logistical support centers of the "terrorist and child-killing US military."

The Army said the operation was conducted in retaliation for the crimes committed by the "arrogant enemy" and in revenge for the blood of Iran's martyrs.

It further stressed that, relying on Iran's history, popular support, operational experience and military readiness, the Armed Forces remain vigilant and steadfast against any pressure or threat.

Expressing confidence in Iran's ultimate victory, the Army said the country's "historic and heroic nation," with divine assistance, would prevail over the "deceitful and malicious enemy."
