The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Poland wrote in a post on X that by following the example of the leaders of the Zionist regime who dragged the United States into war with Iran, the Ukrainian president seeks to drag Europe and NATO into war with Iran.
“He (the president of Ukraine) has already exceeded his duties and not only interfered in Iran’s internal affairs, but also played a role in arming some of the parties attacking Iran during and after the 40-day war.”
The Iranian Embassy emphasized, “It is clear that Iran’s restraint is not endless.”
It added that a “response is our right according to the Charter of the United Nations.”
On Saturday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter and an act of aggression that could further escalate the conflict. It said the Ukrainian leadership's acknowledgment of the attack reflected the continuation of Kiev's hostile approach toward Iran.
The ministry also stressed that, in accordance with international law and the inherent right of self-defense, Iran would not hesitate to defend its national interests and security, warning that responsibility for the consequences of the incident rests with the Ukrainian government and its supporters.
