In a congratulatory message to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday, Pezeshkian said the deep historical, cultural, civilizational and people-to-people bonds between the two nations constitute a valuable asset for creating brighter prospects in bilateral relations.
He stressed that the common interests and destinies of the two nations are becoming increasingly intertwined, a reality that makes closer cooperation and greater synergy between Tehran and Islamabad all the more necessary.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its determination to further strengthen comprehensive relations with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” Pezeshkian said, expressing Tehran’s readiness to take more effective steps toward consolidating bilateral ties and securing the shared interests of the two nations through mutual trust and respect and by utilizing their extensive existing capacities.
Pezeshkian also prayed for Pakistan’s continued dignity, progress, prosperity and happiness, as well as for the further strengthening and flourishing of the longstanding and brotherly relations between the two countries.
