Valiollah Bayati, spokesman for the Parliament’s Committee on Councils and Internal Affairs, told Tasnim that the committee has reviewed the “Strategic Action Plan for Ensuring Security and Development of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf” and approved its general principles after hearing members’ views.
He added that, with the approval of committee members, seven of the plan’s 14 articles have been also approved.
Bayati noted that the remaining provisions of the plan would be reviewed and approved at the committee’s meetings next week.
He said one of the approved provisions concerns the passage through the Strait of Hormuz of facilities and equipment owned by the US, the Zionist regime and hostile countries, which has been banned.
