The attacks targeted areas including Nabatieh, Tyre and Western Bekaa, amid continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the failure of the Lebanese government to take effective action to stop the attacks.
According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, an Israeli airstrike on the town of Al-Ramadiyah in the Tyre district killed one person and wounded 15 others, including six rescuers, three women and two children.
Meanwhile, two people were killed when Israeli regime warplanes targeted a motorcycle in the town of Kafr Rumman in the Nabatieh district.
In Nabatieh al-Fawqa, three people, including a woman, were wounded, while four others were wounded in the Mefdoun area of Nabatieh.
The attacks have continued as the Lebanese government remains committed to direct negotiations and an agreement with the Israeli regime without taking measures to halt the aggression.
Since the signing of the so-called framework agreement between the Lebanese government and the Israeli regime in Washington on June 26, the people of Lebanon, particularly those in the south, have faced continued attacks, destruction and devastation.
Officials who rushed to promote the “framework agreement” as a political and diplomatic achievement have now been left powerless as southern villages face daily destruction while Israeli attacks continue.
At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the regime’s War Minister Israel Katz have repeatedly spoken of Israel’s refusal to withdraw even an inch from Lebanon, while attempting to portray themselves as committed to negotiations with Beirut.
The Israeli regime has effectively stripped Lebanon’s diplomatic efforts of their substance, turning the negotiations into a disorderly process trapped in a cycle of Israeli demands that repeatedly returns to the starting point after each round.
As Israeli aggression continues, people in Lebanon are increasingly losing faith in diplomacy and dialogue, while the situation is creating greater space for Hezbollah to continue refusing to disarm.
