The Iranian then produced a dominant 10-0 quarterfinal win over Afghanistan’s Rahimullah Najmi to book his place in the semifinals and secure a medal.
Barimanlou maintained his momentum against Kyrgyzstan’s Kubanychbek Aibek Uulu, earning a 3-0 victory to punch his ticket to the gold-medal bout.

Meanwhile, Iran added another medal through Fatemeh Barmaki in the women’s +87kg category.

After receiving a bye in the opening round, Barmaki defeated Chinese Taipei’s Yachung Yang 3-0 in the quarterfinals to secure her place on the podium.
She then fell 5-0 to Chinese Taipei’s Shi Liuling in the semifinals, settling for the bronze medal.
