Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a meeting on the sidelines of the 17th edition of the Al Jazeera Forum in Doha on Saturday.
The two senior diplomats discussed issues of mutual interest and reviewed the latest regional and international developments.
Araqchi expressed appreciation for Qatar’s constructive efforts regarding Iran’s nuclear issue and briefed the Qatari foreign minister on recent diplomatic interactions between Iran and the United States, held indirectly in Muscat.
The two sides also reviewed regional developments and emphasized the common responsibility of all countries in the region to contribute to the protection of sustainable security and stability.
