Iran Discusses Regional De-Escalation with Egypt, Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held talks with his Egyptian and Saudi counterparts about the latest diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in West Asia.

In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Araqchi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty exchanged views on the latest developments in diplomatic initiatives to ease regional tensions as well as the ongoing situation in Lebanon amid the intensification of the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Arab country’s southern regions.

The two top diplomats also discussed the consequences of those aggressive actions, which Iran considers a blatant violation of the ceasefire understanding between Iran and the United States.

In another telephone conversation on Tuesday, Araqchi and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan reviewed the latest diplomatic trends and regional efforts aimed at reducing tensions across West Asia.

The discussions formed part of ongoing regional consultations on developments in the region and efforts to prevent further escalation.
