Iran’s Army Launches Retaliatory Drone Strikes on US Bases in Kuwait, Jordan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Army announced a new wave of retaliatory drone attacks against US military facilities in Kuwait and Jordan, saying the operations targeted ammunition depots, logistics infrastructure, and accommodation buildings in response to repeated US attacks on Iranian territory.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Iranian Army said it has carried out fresh retaliatory drone strikes against US military bases in Kuwait and Jordan as part of the latest phases of Operation Thunderbolt, following repeated acts of aggression by the US against parts of Iran.

The Army said that during the 21st phase of the operation, a large number of suicide drones struck ammunition depots and the logistics facilities of the command center of the US Army's ground forces at Camp Doha in western Kuwait.

The Army described Camp Doha as one of the largest and most important US military bases in western Kuwait, serving as a key logistical hub for American forces deployed across West Asia and housing substantial numbers of US Army personnel as well as naval and air force assets.

The statement said the strikes were launched in retaliation for the repeated attacks by the "malicious enemy" against Iranian territory, adding that Iran's Armed Forces remain fully prepared, through their "sacred unity," to respond decisively to any new plots or acts of aggression.

The Army also announced that, in the 22nd phase of Operation Thunderbolt, it launched suicide drone attacks early Wednesday against the accommodation and welfare buildings and an equipment warehouse used by the US military at Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan.

It added that Arash loitering drones subsequently targeted equipment warehouses and large storage hangars, as well as maintenance hangars for heavy aircraft, at the US military facilities located at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.

The Iranian Army dedicated the latest phase of the operation to the "heroic and resilient people of southern Iran," stressing that its forces, backed by public support and renewing their pledge to the memory of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, will remain steadfast until final victory.
